Hello from The Romance Studio!

I was worried I'd miss our day entirely but after an emergency run to get a new DSL modem, I did make it. Better late than never. =)

I'd love to tell you something philosophical and meaningful today but we've just been so darn busy at TRS with things, that my mind is spinning. So what's going on?

Well, first, we're posting reviews because we'll begin the nomation for the CAPA Awards shortly. What? What are the CAPAs? I'm glad you asked. The Cupid and Psyche Awards for excellence in romantic fiction are awards created by TRS and given each year on Valentine's Day. They are unique in that you can't really apply for the awards, they are just given to the best books our reviewers read in the past year. Nominations in a variety of categories are made exclusively by TRS reviewers - non-reviewing staff doesn't even get to nominate, including me! The nomination process will start when we return from Thanksgiving break - the site will close from 11/26-11/30. The nominees will be announced on the last day we're open for the year on 12/23/08.
